Kuchu Buranko, Trapeze

It’s a medical anime I tell you!

Yeah, sure it has “Trapeze” as a title, and this particular episode does involve trapezes (kinda). BUT. Tis all about dem patients, and  they diagnoses and finally the treatment. The patient in question actually is a trapeze artist, Kohei Yamashita, who seeks medical treatment from a psychiatrist, Ichiro Irabu, (and his damn sexy nurse aid), in order to find out why he is failing so much as a trapeze artist after ‘x’ amount of years in this family business-circus, and why he has a sleep disorder. Kohei blames his failings on his partner of the trapeze act, but counseling, run-ins with yakuza and sexual injections make him realize that it is, in fact, his very own fault. He  learns to never lose sight of oneself by getting to caught up with work—> subtle heartwarming end.

Oh god, what?

What masks the simplicity of the plot is the sheer silliness of this anime. Decide to watch and behold the, I guess, unconventional anime production. Checklist…

Bizarre anime indeed, and one hell of a budget. The humor is  there, sometimes hit-or-miss, very perverted. You’ll be finding yourself exclaiming, “What the fuck” on more than one occasion.
