Okay, I tried doing some work so many times, but I always delete my drafts (not that I had many to delete). Hope this post makes up for the work I never did the past 2 months!!!
As I proclaim at this attempt’s title, I’m involved in Anime and Manga only since last summer, when we finally got our internet connection to stop my bro’s pestering about it (not that I had a problem with the outcome!). So I decided to make some listings about it, you know, what I liked, what I didn’t bother looking at and things like that. Hope it won’t be too… how do I say that, useless maybe!
.
Fine, let’s get it started!Today it’s my favourite-Anime-so-far countdown. And my personal Top 10 of the best anime series goes as such:
.

10. Nogizaka Haruka No Himitsu
Production: Studio Barcelona
Genre: Romantic comedy
Info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nogizaka_Haruka_no_Himitsu
My opinion: I really liked this one and looking forward to the next season! It’s a girlie one, of course, but how would you expect me as a girl not to like it? Fairytales and clothes are the things we like the most, after all!
.
9. Soul Eater
Production: Bones
Genre: Action, Supernatural
Info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soul_Eater_(manga)
My opinion: Well, I watch some shounen-like anime, too! The Maka-Soul couple was great, Maka’s womaniser old man was just hilarious, and Kid’s craziness of symmetry ridiculous. Black Star was funny as plain idiot. It started as a funny anime, then got to be much darker and that’s what I liked the most! The last ED tarck, Strength from Abingdon Boys School, and the first OP, Resonance from T.M.Revolution (vocals by the frontman of ABS, Takanori Nishikawa) made me like ABS band…
.

8. Ergo Proxy
Production: Manglobe
Genre: Science fiction
Info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ergo_Proxy
My opinion: Science fiction isn’t really my thing, but I turned to like this series for it’s suspence moments and the questions it set up in my mind, and its educational value, focusing on its characters’ phychology and using certain philosophers’ globally accepted statements. The OP nad ED tracks are still in my tracklist.
.

7. Loveless
Production: J.C.Staff
Genre: Drama, Fantasy, Mystery, Shounen-Ai
Info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loveless_(manga)
My opinion: I loved Ritsuka at first sight! He was way too cute for me to ignore!… Okay, putting that aside, I really liked the characters and the plot, containing so many things that I like, even if I had higher expectations of the final episode…
.

6. Lovely Complex
Production: Toei Animation
Genre: Romantic comedy, slice of life
Info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love_Com
My opinion: I can’t help myself laughting when thinking about poor Risa’s situation! The boy she likes is just an airhaed, and to add to all this, he’s so much shorter than her, too. I surely enjoyed watching this series… more than once. Its fresh atmosphere drew me straight in!
.
5. Darker Than Black
Production: Bones
Genre: Neo-noir, Supernatural
Info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darker_than_Black
My opinion: Generally I like stories with lots of black, meaning I like characters having a dark side to their nature or the plot having holes (which are supposed to get filled after some time, of course!), all in all dark atmosphere appeals to me. That’s why I liked this series, even if my moe side secretly hoped for some romance between Hei and Misaki after their sudden meeting! But I can’t have it all! The 1st OP, Howling from Abingdon Boys School is really one of my favourites.
.
4. Pandora Hearts
Production: XEBEC
Genre: Mystery, Fantasy, Action, Comedy, Romance(?)
Info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pandora_Hearts
My opinion: In this anime I especially like the changes in the atmosphere, being all merry and such and suddenly someone’s butting in to make it dark. The many sides to the characters and their lives are making it lively, avoiding boredom. And there’s enough darkness to keep me there. I like the sound effects.
.
3. Death Note
Production: Madhouse
Genre: Mystery, Phychologilac thriller, Supernatural thriller
Info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_Note
My opinion: Seems to be classic and it’s very popular, even to my country where that stuff are considered pretty much as a trash by most of the population. It’s one of the first anime I have ever watched, the drawing technique offers a lot to create the dark atmosphere and it kept me on the edge till the very last second. Its soundtrack is also a masterpiece.
.
2.Code Geass: Hangyaku No Lelouch
Production: Sunrise
Genre: Drama, Mecha, Science fantasy, Alternate history
Info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Code_Geass
My opinion: I really liked Lelouch, actually! He takes the unfair situation of a whole country in his own hands, even when that means having to fight against his own friend, and sets an unimaginable evolution while keeping his identity secret for so long… All the characters are very nicely built and I loved the music.
.
And now here’s the last one:

1. Umineko No Naku Koro Ni
Production: Studio Deen
Genre: Drama, Mystery, Phychological thriller
Info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Umineko_no_Naku_Koro_ni
My opinion: That’s some kick-ass work! And it’s coming with an EPIC OP (no kidding)! I humbly suggest that you should watch (if you haven’t yet, that is)! Lots of suspence, lots of drama enough and SO MUCH BLOOOOOD! Okay, seriously I’m not a psycho or something, but the thrilling atmosphere just won over me! Iits music helps even more, giving off the right feelings. Anyway, I haven’t seen many anime series of this kind, but I give it a two-thumbs-up!
.
All info are from Wikipedia (as you can see for yourselves, of course). Thank you, Wiki-guys, you’ve done a proper job there!
Okay, that’s from me for today. I may come up with some more listings soon enough. Untill then, see ya!
