You have no idea how much I’m relieved to be writing this post, not to mention the peer pressure (although indirect) I get from the folks from my blogroll (stares at Fuyu, Nazzy, and Sergi) who have already posted regarding the upcoming series this Spring. I think it’s safe to say that I myself am no less than excited.
Winter 2009 season has been long harsh and cruel, at least when it comes to appeasing my interests. So much of a failure it has been that I had to resort to the good leftovers of the Fall 2008. So yes, THANK HEAVENS FOR SPRING!
Moving right along, I shall only post my picks for the season, that while taking on Nazzy’s advice on non-linking and non-summarizing. I mean, why would I? You might as well look up other sources like ANN and stuff. Oh well, here goes nothing….

Full Metal Alchemist
Reactions: I cannot emphasize how big of a fan I am to this series. To be quite honest, this is one (or probably the only one) of the defining anime series, since it actually had a direct effect on my well being as of now. Anyhow, I’ve heard that this second installment does not deviate much from the first one; the only difference is that it will be following the manga a lot closer. I’m a tiny bit skeptical about a remakes, and I cannot help but think of future dissapontments. But whatever, my decision shall not be faltered.
Watch?/Blog?: Yes/Hell yes!

K-ON
Reactions: Not that much of a synopsis here, though I’m curious to find out what interesting things four girls without any musical talents can do to save their club…ironically, it’s their music club.
Oh shit! Did I hear KyoAni?!
Watch?/Blog?: Yes/First Impressions only
Watch?/Blog?: Yes/ Most likely on a bi-weekly basis.

Valkyria Chronicles
Reactions: The first time I’ve seen the promotional picture, I thought there was some sense of familiarity with it. Turns out that this series came from a game, I’ve seen while window shopping at video game stores some couple of months ago. I am quite excited about this series, since this will by the first time I get to blog anime while actually owning its video game counterpart (yes, I bought the game). I have to say, the game’s very very interesting from all aspects (i.e. character design, the background setting, etc.). So yes, I guess it’s safe to say I have high hopes for this series.
Watch?/Blog?: Yes/Hell yes!

Pandora Hearts
Reactions: Somehow, the words ‘organization’ and ‘blood-stained black rabbit’ from the description caught my attention. Will check it out of curiosity.
Watch?/Blog?: Most likely/No

Phantom (Requiem for the Phantom)
Reactions: Did someone say assassin? It’s about time I get to have some bloodshed and/or anything of that nature since Chaos;Head. The ‘Mafia’ part of the description kind of adds a good ring to it as well.
Watch?/Blog?: Most likely/No

07-Ghost
Reactions: First up, the number ‘7′. Second, moar milatarism, more soldiers, and of course, more guns! Bang bang indeed!
Watch?/Blog?: Most likely/ First Impressions only

Tears to Tiara
Reactions: Another one of those game-derived series. I’ve heard good things about the game, and the characters themselves are quite colorful, both physically and metaphorically speaking. Alright, will put this on my watch list.
Watch?/Blog?: Yes/No

Asura Cryin’
Reactions: Hooray for ghosts! More specifically, hooray for a girly ghost following a guy! That’s a very interesting thing actually if you ask me. I’m not quite well informed about this series, but I can already see myself enjoying it.
Watch?/Blog?: Yes/Bi-weekly basis

And that concludes my lineup for the upcoming Spring 2009 season. Of course, keep in mind nothing is certain and that blogging preferences can change without notice due to a lot of factors (fansubbing, schedule conflict, and of course, Real Life Bullshit). Episodic one-liners will be administered when necessary.

Just don’t forget about our beloved Felli-chan who will carry over from Winter :p
Glad to see you finally caved to the pressure
Yes! Pandora Hearts on another list. Considering it lures everyone in with vague things like words in the description and the promo art, it could turn out be a really big disappointment for people. or since people aren’t expecting much it could turn out to be the awesomecakes show of the season! I’m betting it’s somewhere in the middle though.
But aside for K-On! it looks like you have too much seriousness in your season! All the promo images look so scary and/or serious.
As usual Asura Cryin’ is vague, but we’re all just getting the feeling, “I think I can like it.” I blame the name just being too cool.
^^; Pressure…oi…
& good for you for skipping the summaries and links. It’s easier~
*is always a lazy ass*Hmm…so you and most of the bloggers I’m more familiar with seem to have a similar list.
Agh~, all the new titles look so good so I hope they disappoint. I dropped pretty much almost every show I started for winter and am still behind on one fall one. T_T
Ah, yep, so looking forward to your first impressions.
Because of the seven deadly sins?
Yay. I’m glad to see someone else blogging FMA. I think it should be fairly good, even though the voice cast seems different from the orignal. We should also get a better end (I loved the end of the series, hated the movie).
I’m also looking forward to your Valkyria Chronicles posts.
Doh! Even 7 got his Spring list up. XD My group blog is behind then. Though, you have no idea how much work it is to get all those group posts organized. ^^;; I’m always stuck with so much work. XD Going solo is easier for these kinds of things at least.
I like your selection, 7. Thanks to the amount of writers we have, I believe we’re covering all of them somehow (except for things like Jewel Pets and those weird ones that don’t matter). As for me, I’ll be doing only a handful. ^^
Good luck! I’ll be sure to read your FMA ones! ^__^
waaa… so many series to look forward to *-*!
Too bad you won’t blog Pandora Hearts, though I have the say the art and quality might be crappy, but the story might be great. *the person who “accidently” couldn’t resist to read the manga*
And oh yeah, Valkyria Chronicles <3
(I hope you don’t mind having me visit your site XD)
@Nazarielle: I shall never ever neglect my dose of Felli smexiness.
@FuyuMaiden: I’m really looking forward to Pandora Hearts; no actually I lied. I meant to say I’m looking forward to Pandora Heart’s interest potential.
And no, I wasn’t trying to be serious. It just so happens that the images I got looked serious. ^_^
@Xiao Jie: It’s because it’s lazy; it’s because it’s more efficient. ^_^
And yes, the title do look good, in fact, too good to be true.
I’m looking forward to your comments to my first impressions as well.
@53RG10: That’s one of them. ^_^
@warriorhope: And I’m very glad that you watch FMA! Seriously, whenever I talk to a girl about FMA, they usually give me a funny reaction. T_T
@Minnie:
Actually I do..but that’s somewhere I failed in that you succeeded. And yes, I’m looking forward to your comments on FMA as well!
@Mimiko ♥: Pandora hearts lies in the border of blogging and not-blogging. Remember the final clause of my post? My blogging selection will change without notice. So yea..we’ll see.
And I don’t mind you visiting at all! In fact, please continue visiting. The more, the merrier. ^_^
ohh.. I notice it now. I was reading this in hurry during class (don’t ask why.. I just feel like to read something else than listen the teacher talking XD). Well, I hope you will! This season animes seem to be quiet busy for me . ~.~
