Gundam 00 S2 – Episode 22: This kind of OWNAGE disappoints me

So here we are at Episode 22, closer than ever to the season finale. Yet, I feel as if each occurring episode induces me to wonder how it’s all going to end. When it comes to Gundam series, the last few episodes are actually packed PWNAGE mobile suit-to-mobile suit action scenes, serves with a side of drama and a bit of a foresight to how the series is going to conclude. I was hoping to get some sort of ‘bang’ (if that’s how it’s appropriately called) from this episode, but somehow I’m not feeling it. Don’t get me wrong, there have been super awesome mobile suit crossfires in this episode, but I’m simply just not feeling it.

I’m not exactly sure as to why this episode has this some sort of forlorn feel unto it, but I can tell you right off the bat that there’s a ,relatively a lot of insight that’s revealed, though not necessarily relevant to the plot. I really did not expect Graham’s nickname, Mr. Bushido, to be something more than just for show. Apparently, he wanted to OWN Setsuna’s ass so much that he actually underwent some kind of spiritual, if not some physical training….only to have his ass handed down to him in the end. Rather unfortunate really, considering how much he’d been through; although it’s quite noteworthy to mention that he was able to keep up in speed with Setsuna during the first sequences of their combat.

Another thing worth mentioning is the seemingly inevitable face off between human-born Innovators. On one end, we have the highly unstable Louise who seems to be able to link with Veda only during moments of pain and trauma; on the other end, we have our very own Setsuna. Although I’m not really sure under what circumstances he can link with Veda, but I am at least sure of one thing now when it comes to these two.

I’m not sure if anyone else noticed but it seems as if a person needs to be irradiated with both the genuine and the fake GN-particles to actually start the process of innovation. Last time I checked, Setsuna and Louise both satisfy this criterion.

Those aside, I’m very glad to say…YES!! ARTHUR IS DEAD! WOOOOT! Finally, the fatso (no offense btw) is gone for good. He was beginning to annoy me anyways, especially his attitude. Ugh!

And oh, don’t be fooled by Ribbon’s apparent death. He’s still alive, supposedly…spoilers courtesy of the episode themselves during the preview.
